About

Dr. Chris Scott, PT is a sports orthopedic physical therapist, based in Orange County, CA - whose work focuses on improving the quality of life for his patients by eliminating pain and optimizing function. He began his academic career at SMU in Dallas, TX and then received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Texas (Southwestern). He was given opportunities that allowed him to have extensive work in a variety of clinical settings. This armed him with the experience and foundational knowledge base to tackle any patient case that came his way, from teaching patients with neurological disorders how to walk to returning professional athletes to the field or court.Upon graduating, Dr. Chris received certifications in movement analysis, manual treatment techniques and therapeutic/performance exercise. He utilized that training as he served as the Director of Rehabilitation at a multidisciplinary clinic, where he learned the importance of utilizing a holistic approach to rehab, as humans are not one dimensional. He recognized that the healthcare system can be difficult to navigate at times, cementing to him the importance of being a provider that patients can come to and trust. Dr. Chris instills confidence in each of his patients by actively listening and providing thorough education, so they feel empowered to take control of their own health and reach their goals. He has had 5+ years of experience treating the active population of Orange County including NFL, NBA, NCAA, USA/AVP Beach Volleyball and MLB athletesIn his free time, Dr. Chris loves spending time on the beach, staying active with recreational sports and watching his favorite athlete, his brother Daniel, play football for Cal Berkeley.
