About

Hey I’m Liz (She/Her) ! I am an Oregonian who loves being outdoors in the beautiful PNW. I am often out running trails with my wildly adorable puppy, Otis. I have been a PT for over 10 years and get excited about being your professional guide to healing. I’m very familiar with treating a wide variety of ailments from head to toe and all levels of activity from high to low. You will find that I am a highly skilled manual therapy provider with a strong belief in the importance of exercise and movement to meet your life goals. I value authenticity and personal connection, and I recognize that therapy should be personalized to you! I strongly believe in an inclusion-and consent-based approach for all individuals, and utilize education and training to decrease fear and improve knowledge as you heal and recover. As a PT, I strive to create a collaborative approach to your health and wellness. Let's work together to formulate a plan to create a stronger, healthier you!

Healthcare is for all Humans

My most valued learning experience is spending several weeks a year working in NW Haiti collaborating with and learning from various providers as we provide rehab services to the community of Port de Paix. As a part of STAND: The Haiti Project I have gained valuable clinical skills and a greater understanding of the importance of movement, health and wellness to an individual’s quality of life. I strongly believe in improving access to healthcare for all individuals. I look forward to challenging barriers that exist in cost, safety and access for all groups within my own community.

I’m not someone who generally writes reviews, but my experience with Dr. Liz Ruegg has been so positive that I made an exception. I started working with Liz about a year ago to address pain and lack of mobility in my shoulder. It was very apparent from the beginning that she was knowledgeable, empathetic, professional, and attentive. Additionally, I always felt she was maximizing our time, which hasn’t been the case with past therapists. What I appreciate the most was the way she used a holistic approach; this gave me a new awareness and appreciation of how everything is interconnected. I believe this approach and thoughtful customized home exercises were why I experienced such quick results. My shoulder and I benefited so much from working with Liz that later I went back to her again for a hip issue which is also improving under her guidance. There is nothing more important than one’s health, so don’t wait! I can’t recommend Liz highly enough!

I had my second session with Liz and I hit the jackpot when I got her as my PT. Love her! I am learning so much from her and I can tell my body is headed in the right direction.

What I like about Liz, in the beginning of the session Liz was quick to ask "if I was going to do the exercise to feel better". No other PT has asked me to buy into the program. Accountability in life is important and Liz got my buy in right away. Highly recommend Liz. Bob N.

Liz is an incredible provider. Her expertise is immediately apparent as she effortlessly synthesizes reported symptoms and a physical exam into an achievable and hope-laden plan. I walked into my visit with Liz fearing that surgery was my only remaining option. I left my visit feeling seen, heard, and confident in my ability to heal. To top it all off, Liz is a delightful human. I can't recommend her highly enough!

I love working with Liz. This is my first time working with a PT and she puts me right at ease. Very personable and relaxed, explaining the whole process and why we're doing what we're doing. Couldn't be happier.

Liz was thorough and easy to work with. When you are in pain, it is really amazing to have a PT come to your house! We refer patients to this group often. They are always impressed. Thank you, Dr. Bridghid McMonagle

I am having foot surgery soon. I asked Liz to work with me and my husband on mobility issues post-surgery. She offered practical advice, including what kind of mechanical aids would best help me move and lead some version of my daily life. She suggested which exercises I can continue post-surgery and how to deal with different stages of healing. And she was optimistic and encouraging about an event I feel very anxious about while still acknowledging the hard parts.

Liz is amazing. She took the time to listen to what was bothering me and showed me practical things to keep me moving as I recover. Would recommend Liz to anyone and everyone!

Liz was great. She listened, understood, asked important questions, did a thorough assessment. She was always careful to avoid creating discomfort. She provided relevant insights during session, and important tips to think about that will be pertinent from hereon to maintain ankle stability. Her taping job was such a welcome relief to my ankle! I highly recommend her.
