My diagnosis of severe patellofemoral arthritis meant I was limping along all day, fighting pain. I was DESPERATE for a DPT PT appointment. Dr. Suzanne Cowan met every objective. She is kind, intuitive, very knowledgeable and a professional. I could not have had a better experience, and I feel prepared to confidently address my issue.

Working with Suzanne has been wonderful. First she listened, I mean really listened. After hearing what my issues were, she then asked some specific questions, asked me to move and observed. Her observations seemed spot on. The PT exercises/movements she gave me worked very well. During the first session not only did Suzanne evaluate what had gone wrong, but also explained why. She pointed out a few areas of my body that were weak, could use some better development to help avoid having the same issue again. And then showed me how to help strengthen those weaker areas. Another very helpful practice was Suzanne asked me to show her how I had been doing my PT exercises. She quickly corrected some of them that I hadn't been doing exactly correct. Super helpful. I'm better, much better and I owe it to Suzanne.

Suzanne is absolutely wonderful and so knowledgeable in regards to human anatomy. She is able to identify key areas and imbalances in the body that cause pain, stiffness and mobility issues. Having many past injuries over the years I had not been completely satisfied with the programming or care received. It was ok , but quite honestly mimicked what I do in the gym or when teaching my own fitness classes. I knew I needed something different and appreciate her level of expertise. Looking forward to future sessions!

For me, physical therapy is as much mental as physical. That’s where Suzanne shines! She keeps my head in the game, so I look forward to rehab and I look forward to our weekly sessions. I have improved greatly both physically and mentally over the two months of consistent work with Suzanne. We initially started working together to help with two total knee replacements. Gradually we have moved on from but one body part to another. It’s fantastic to have a professional come over and help me diagnose what I need to do to keep my life at the highest level. Our number one goal in life should be good health. That way we can participate fully. Our weekly meetings/sessions do just that!

Super convenient—in-home care can't be beat. Suzanne is an excellent PT; patient and thorough, and yet also pushes you to work to your highest ability. Helped me literally get back on my feet after a knee injury.

Maryann, Dec 29

Suzanne is the best physical therapist that has explained everything to me about the reason for strengthing my muscles to help them make the full recovery and explaining the exercises and the importance of movement.

Suzanne knows her stuff. She can accurately evaluate specific areas that need attention and is able to provide effective movement therapy to reduce pain and increase motion. She is also just a wonderful human being. I would definately recommend Suzanne!

Patricia, Feb 02

This was my initial physical therapy session and it was very good. During the assessment, she listened carefully and used my responses to establish goals and adjust exercises to my particular situation. I felt comfortable and have the utmost confidence that Dr. Cowan will help me to not just recover my movement but overall become stronger and able to proceed with daily life in a pain free way, which is my goal.
