About

As a physical therapist, my mission is to improve people’s confidence through movement. More recently, as a father, my “why” has grown to include supporting movement through lifestyle choices that maximize my chances for longevity. I have developed a passion for enhancing the genetic hand we are dealt with lifestyle choices – Sleep, Nutrition, Activity, Psychological wellness (SNAP!). I feel that these lifestyle choices are the true foundation for living well (and moving well).

Dr. Dan was wonderful. Look forward to working with him in the future.

My sessions with Dan have been absolutely fantastic. He is a master of his trade. Extremely knowledgeable, very personable, a true professional. Dan has helped me regain my former ability, restored my confidence, and given me a deeper understanding of my shoulder. I recommend him to anyone!

I have had many, many incredibly helpful interactions with all the PTs at Movement X, including Fred, MJ, and particularly Dan Alcorn. How many of us go to a doctor and are told, in effect, "Stop doing that"? It's frustrating because doctors aren't great at hearing you particularly on the clock -- or offering you pragmatic solutions, personalized structured instructions, as to how to continue, to evolve to get get better. Not so with Movement X. They listen, they're grounded in great practices, and they're also athletes and so they are able to really hear their patients, offer practical suggestions, and work through challenges. They all really go above and beyond to work through your challenges -- with Dan going so far as to film me and offer pointers as to how to progress. I can't say enough good things -- you owe it yourself to come and work with them.

I cannot recommend Dan highly enough. I started working with Dan for about three months now, working towards resuming a full range of strength and cardio activities, following two hip surgeries over the summer. Prior to starting with Dan, I felt very limited in what I could do across pretty much my whole body. Dan listen to my concrete goals and needs and has worked with me to help develop specific ways to address them. Essentially, if you asked me three months ago, if I could be doing some of the things I'm doing now, I would have said absolutely not. Working with Dan has absolutely exceeded my expectations!
