Gwen was born and raised in Washington and grew up as a competitive swimmer and basketball player. Gwen swam collegeiately at Willamette University and dealt with several injuries to her shoulder thus sparking her interest in Physical Therapy. She went on to complete her Physical Therapy degree in Southern California at Azusa Pacific University. Upon completion of her degree Gwen spent several years working in Orthopedics, specifically working with high school athletes, as well as individuals who are active in running and various other activities in the Portland area. Gwen specialized in treating shoulder injuries with swimmers and spent a season coaching with the Lake Oswego High School Swim Team as well as working with the Portland Aquatic Club hosting courses on strength and conditioning to help with injury prevention and strength development in young swimmers. In 2019 Gwen began earning her certification for Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy and since this time has worked with various women and individuals who experience pelvic pain and incontinence as well as women who are seeking guidance for exercise during pregnancy or post partum. Gwen takes joy in helping individuals learn how to live the lifestyle they want without fear of pain.
