Heather is a personal trainer and nutrition coach who strives to make fitness fun and functional! She promotes strength training and a healthy diet as key components for a thriving life. For personal training, Heather's ideal clients include those who are new to strength training and want to build a solid foundation of movements with excellent form, those with minimal equipment access who want to get creative in their exercise routine, and individuals with years of strength training experience who crave climbing to the next level in their fitness goals. For nutrition, Heather promotes a flexible dieting approach, where no foods or food groups are off-limits and all foods can be enjoyed in moderation. Heather is skilled at working with adults who seek education about what foods to eat to fuel their goals, as well as adults who understand the nutrition their bodies require but who need a nudge of accountability. She advocates for macro tracking (protein, fat and carbs) but also understands there is no one-size-fits-all approach for nutrition.
Heather discovered her passion for fitness and nutrition through her own wellness journey. After a lifetime of inconsistency with exercise and floundering through fad diets, Heather decided it was time to turn wellness into a lifestyle. She successfully turned troubling bloodwork into healthy results, flipped breathless stair climbs into hiking mountains, and shed 80+ pounds along the way. She loves helping others navigate their own wellness journeys toward strength and healthy habits.

Instead, I focus on giving clients the nutrition information and habit-building strategies to help you fuel your body in a healthy, sustainable way FOR LIFE!

Heather teaches group fitness classes at Zweet Sport Total Fitness in Alexandria, VA. Catch her on the turf helping people get stronger and in the cycle studio riding to the beat of the music.
In her spare time, you'll find Heather hiking, biking, traveling to National Parks, and exploring local restaurants (she's always up for new recommendations). She also serves on the Board of Directors for the nonprofit organization Phoenix Bikes. Heather was recognized as one of the metro DC area’s top 40 leaders under the age of 40 in 2018.
