About

Josh serves as the CEO of MovementX and is also a treating clinician with the company. He is passionate about the role physical therapy can play in solving some of healthcare's biggest challenges. His story into physical therapy started at 18 years old, when he experienced a traumatic lower back injury and landed in physical therapy in Ann Arbor, Michigan. During his treatment, Josh fell in love with the process of a clinician utilizing their hands, hearts, and words to guide patients through the healing process. Josh's love of utilizing movement to improve health and quality of life fuels his efforts every day. Josh has been fortunate to receive numerous awards during his time as a professional and as a student. In 2018, he was awarded The George Washington University's Distinguished Young Alumni Award and the American Physical Therapy Association's Societal Impact Award. As a graduate student, Josh was the sole graduating University student awarded the George Washington Award. He also was awarded the Mary McMillan Scholarship, named after the physical therapy profession's namesake. Over the past decade, Josh has spoken nationally and internationally on topics related to physical therapy, leadership, entrepreneurship, and global health. He continues to learn and grow every day, while feeling fortunate to be surrounded by a community of passionate and empathetic colleagues and family.

Josh is helping me tremendously to strenthen my core muscles, balance and equilibrium. I look forward to my weekly sessions with Jos .

Working with Josh has allowed me to overcome some significant limitations imposed by old injuries. I've gained a tremendous amount of mobility, stability, and most importantly, the confidence to push myself physically.

I've worked with Josh for a while now and this is the first time with Movement X! He is a phenomenal physical therapist and knows how to assess, manipulate, and overall get the issues resolved! Highly recommend him for any physical therapy and dry needling needs!!!

Continuing to make significant gains in flexibility, particularly with regard to extension. Amazing!

Josh is a true healer above and beyond his credible knowledge and professional practice. Thanks for all your help, Josh!

An hour with Josh twice a week is like Superman changing clothes in a phone booth (if there are such things around any more). Not only does he physically turn my 86-year-old body into a 70-year-old youngster but his motivational and confidence building techniques are invaluable mental health additions. Can’t wait for my next session.

Five stars or more for the session with Josh. Josh was my PT from 2013-2014 when I was recovering from a devastating knee injury. His care, passion, and ultimately the results I had working with him were far above what I was expecting. If it weren't for Josh's efforts, I would not have been back to doing what I love--being active whether it's in soccer, running, or working out. I cannot recommend him strongly enough. He went out of his way to book this session with me following another (minor) knee injury. As expected, I left confident and with a plan of action to get back to 100%.

Josh has gone way beyond the call of duty in evaluating me, providing me with a detailed exercise program, making sure I understand each exercise and keeping me accountable. Unfortunately the system is not allowing me to add a rating, but I'd give Josh 10 out of 5! He is awesome in every respect!
