Dr. Meg Pezzino, PT, DPT is a passionate clinician with over 15 years of clinical experience. Her journey with physical therapy began as a two-sport high school athlete when she was battling with a shoulder injury. After signing her Division 1 letter of intent to play softball at Manhattan College, another shoulder injury threatened her ability to play in college. After being told she would never throw again, she sought the help of a very motivated, driven physical therapist who worked to help her get her shoulder back in throwing condition to play catcher and first base at Manhattan College. It was then that Meg knew she wanted to do the same to help others move their best and continue do what they love.
After working in a hospital setting with a mixture of inpatient acute rehabilitation and outpatient orthopedics in Connecticut for 5 years, Dr. Meg Pezzino, PT, DPT relocated to Arlington, Virginia. She began working in an out of network, outpatient, sports rehabilitation clinic that treated injuries of all kinds but had a strong focus on runners and triathletes. Being a runner herself, she knows and understands the complexity of treating runners and loves nothing more than getting a runner back in shape and injury free to run their race.
Showing people how to move correctly, stay injury free, and never have to give up the activities that they love because they were told "they cant", is Meg's favorite part of her job. If people are shown how to move correctly, they should always be able to do all the activities that make them happy. Meg loves the ability to provide quality one on one care to her patients. She understands that healthcare can be a tough road to navigate, and is driven to provide quality, empowerment, advocacy and compassionate care to each and every patient that she treats.
Meg's true passion is working with runners. She knows the importance of a runner finding a PT who has experience working specifically with runners and can ensure that all the proper steps are being made to get them back to running as fast and safely as possible. Throughout her years working in the DMV, she has created a vast network of like-minded providers that know and understand the needs of runners. She enjoys being able to help guide her patients in the direction of care that allows them to get back to doing the activties they love. Meg truly loves being able to break down run form, rebuild a run, and ensure the proper shoe and get runners back on the road to recovery.
Her practice is 100% mobile, making it easy to treat you in your home, office, or gym. In addition, her mobile practice allows her to see you move in the most optimal environment to get your injury better faster. Whether its on the running trail or at the tennis courts, Dr. Meg Pezzino, PT, DPT is ready to get you back to moving your best!

Meg loves running, spinning, being outdoors, baking and cooking. She can chat your ear off about college football, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes, and is always up for watching sports. Meg has a deep love of music and once upon a time was trained to sing opera. She and her husband Andy are parents to a sassy little redhead named Emma who they are already grooming to be the biggest little Buckeye football fan!
Meg is the best! She was very knowledgeable about my specific issue and knew exactly how to fix it. You know you are in good hands. She was extremely responsive and followed up to see how I was doing after the session. We now have our go-to practitioner for any future physical therapy needs.
Gideon, Mar 11Thanks so much for working with me in your back patio under the warm sun. My shoulder feels nice and loose post PRP. Now, let the healing happen. I really appreciate all the precautions Meg took to wear gloves and a mask given the fear of communal spread of Covid 19. She offered great customer service amid crazy times.
Rose, Mar 19Thanks so much for such a thorough and complete session. My Achilles’ tendon is no longer screaming and the exercises are helping everyday!! You continue to amaze me with your expertise!! Thank you, Meg!!! 💜
Maggie, Jul 22Meg is excellent and she loves what she is doing. I enjoy my session with her.
Daksha, Aug 14You are fortunate to have a physical therapist who is as highly qualified and professional as Meg! I followed her from her previous place of employment because of her skill and expertise. Under her care, I have made significant improvement following an injury. Having her attend a recent appointment with me to my orthopedic surgeon was invaluable!
Janet, Mar 23Dr. Meg Pezzino, physical therapist at MovementX, showed me how to move correctly, stay injury free, and help me get back to running, swimming and biking after a sports-related injury. Meg used hands-on manual therapy, dry needling, cupping therapy, and slow motion movement analysis of my run to help adjust my form (posture, gait, stride length). Meg's therapy helped alleviate much of the pain I was experiencing while running. She is a patient, kind and knowledgeable physician therapist who I enthusiastically recommend.
